Audio-Visual

Image at architectural scale. Sound, placed precisely.

Home cinemas, media rooms and music throughout the house, with equipment chosen for the room, the seating and the way it will be used.

The studio's cinema room: a large fixed screen above a low cabinet, red upholstered wall panels with concealed edge lighting, and velvet recliner seats.
Our studio

The experience

Processing, amplification, projection and loudspeakers, specified end to end.

  1. 01

    Immersion begins with the room

Screen size, seating distance, light control and speaker placement are decided together, so the picture and the sound belong to the space.

  2. 02

    Performance, or discretion, or both

Speakers can disappear into a ceiling or stand in the room as objects. The choice follows the interior, not the other way around.

  3. 03

Music in every room you choose

Streaming and amplification are planned so listening is as simple in the kitchen as it is in a dedicated listening room.

What we design and install

The systems behind the experience.

Categories we specify and integrate. Specific products are chosen for each project, the space and how it will be used.

Signal, kept pure: processing, amplification and streaming.

AV processors
Decode surround formats and manage sources and speakers in a dedicated cinema.
AV receivers
Processing and amplification in one chassis, a compact heart for a media room.
Power amplifiers
Dedicated amplification for demanding speakers or many channels.
Pre-amplifiers
Source selection and volume control ahead of separate power amplification.
Integrated amplifiers
Pre-amplifier and power amplifier in one unit, typically for stereo listening.
Streamers
Play music from streaming services and network libraries.
Visualisation: a private cinema, its large screen lit by a projector through faint haze, above upholstered seats.
Visualisation
Visualisation: a walnut-panelled media wall with a television, two floor-standing speakers and a low credenza, softly lit.
Visualisation
Visualisation: a floor-standing speaker with bronze-ringed drivers, set against walnut panelling.

Before we meet

Worth thinking about.

None of this needs to be decided in advance. These are the questions a first conversation usually explores.
  • 01The room's dimensions, and whether it can be fully darkened
  • 02How many people will watch, and where they will sit
  • 03Whether the room is a dedicated cinema or a living space with more than one use
  • 04How visible you would like speakers and equipment to be

Discuss a audio-visual project.

Share a floor plan, a few photographs or simply an idea. The conversation starts there.
